Could you briefly introduce the history of your company and explain how it became one of the leading BPO providers in Portugal?
In 1994, in partnership with one of the largest companies in the world in auditing and consulting services, Collegium Algarve was born, as a representative office of Coopers & Lybrand.
The evolution of the business and the international situation led to the merger in 1998 of the two largest global companies in the sector, Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse, giving rise to the largest worldwide company in the sector, PricewaterhouseCoopers. In this way Collegium Algarve became PWC’s Algarve office in Albufeira.
In order to direct the company to its target market, in 2000, through a share acquisition operation, the separation of PWC took place and the now called Collegium – Consultores de Gestão e Administração de Empresas, Lda., was formed. with a set of services adapted to its customers, directed to their real needs.
Collegium was founded with the vision of providing comprehensive and top-notch accounting, human resources tax consultancy services. From our humble beginnings as a small firm, we have steadily grown by consistently delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with our clients.
