For Katarína Fábriová, excellence starts with a simple question: how can we do this better? As one of Accace Circle’s Senior Project Managers, she brings that mindset into every phase of her work, from cross-border implementation to fine-tuning the smallest project detail. In the first part of our mini-series on excellence, Katarína shares how continuous improvement, shared learning and thoughtful leadership help keep standards high across the community.
What does “excellence” mean to you in your role?
Excellence means consistently striving to deliver the highest quality in everything I do as a Global Project Manager. It’s not just about “getting the job done”; it’s about approaching each challenge with attention to detail, professionalism and genuine passion. It reflects a mindset of continuous improvement: learning from mistakes, adapting quickly and always looking for smarter, more effective ways to work. Ultimately, excellence isn’t about perfection, but about aiming higher, challenging the status quo and never settling for “good enough.”
Can you share an example where striving for excellence made a big difference for a client or a community member?
In one large international implementation, we proactively went beyond the standard approach by loading additional historical data into the system, something that was not originally planned to such an extent. This extra effort ensured accuracy in complex calculations and reporting, resulting in a much smoother go-live experience for the client. It’s a great example of how taking initiative and going the extra mile during implementation can lead to significantly higher-quality results.
How do you ensure consistency and quality when working across so many locations?
I focus on building transparent communication channels and holding regular check-ins to keep all teams aligned on objectives and progress. Additionally, I actively share knowledge and experiences across countries, which helps save time and ensures lessons learned are effectively applied throughout all locations.

What are some behind-the-scenes routines or habits that support high standards?
I rely on a few key habits: regular project plan reviews, clear documentation, lessons-learned sessions and proactive risk assessments. I also prioritize ongoing feedback and timely follow-ups. These small actions add up to significant improvements over time. Additionally, I make sure to acknowledge shared achievements and project milestones, which encourages the team to sustain high-quality work and boosts motivation.
How do you inspire others in the community or in your team to keep raising the bar?
To inspire others, I lead by example, demonstrating consistency, commitment and a positive attitude, especially during challenging phases. I encourage open communication, celebrate achievements big and small and share success stories that highlight the impact of our collective efforts. By creating a culture of trust and cooperation, we help each other learn and grow, continuously pushing the whole community to raise the bar.
A final word
Excellence grows when people care enough to do things better and help others do the same. Katarína’s story shows how small actions and thoughtful leadership add up to big impact.
