What makes a project truly excellent? For Hana Monhartová, Senior Project Manager at Accace Circle, it’s all about successful implementation, trust, empathy and the consistency that helps clients feel supported at every stage of their journey. In Part 3 of our mini-series on excellence, Hana shares how she brings structure and calm to complex projects and how she uses communication and collaboration to keep clients and teams aligned across borders.
What does “excellence” mean to you in your role?
For me, excellence is not just a goal but a standard I strive to uphold in every aspect of my work and client interactions. It means being proactive, reliable and fully committed to delivering value at every stage of the client journey. I want our clients to feel heard, understood and guided. I walk them through each phase of the project so they’re never left uncertain or unsupported and I remain present and engaged even after the implementation is complete. Clients should see and feel that I’m here for them not only as a project manager, but as a trusted partner. For me, excellence means showing up with integrity, empathy and precision. Always.
Can you share an example where striving for excellence made a big difference for a client or a community member?
I recently worked with a client who was struggling with ongoing issues in how they delivered their payroll data. Instead of simply pointing out the mistakes, I reached out directly to understand what was behind the recurring problems. Together, we uncovered some gaps in their internal processes. Working closely with our payroll team, we created tailored templates that matched the client’s needs while also meeting our technical requirements. We also helped them streamline their request process — combining multiple ad hoc submissions into one consolidated monthly request. The result? More accurate data, less admin burden and most importantly, a client who felt supported and heard.
How do you ensure consistency and quality when working across so many locations?
Managing projects across different countries means working with a wide range of expectations, time zones and communication styles, which is why clear and structured communication is key. I make sure that everything is well explained, that everyone involved is informed and aligned and that we follow standardized templates and processes to maintain consistency. I also adapt my tone and communication approach based on the cultural context, while keeping the project goals front and centre. For me, consistency doesn’t just happen. It’s the result of deliberate attention to detail and a shared commitment to doing things right.

What are some behind-the-scenes routines or habits that support high standards?
Maintaining high standards starts with trust and reliability. I focus on building strong relationships with partners and clients, built on transparency and mutual respect. I try to anticipate needs early, identify risks before they escalate and offer practical solutions. I take full ownership of each phase of the project and make sure timelines, expectations and responsibilities are clearly defined and understood. Clients and colleagues know they can rely on me to follow through and communicate openly. Excellence is about results, but also about how we achieve those results. And I try to reflect that in everything I do.
How do you inspire others in the community or in your team to keep raising the bar?
I believe the best way to inspire is to lead by example. I try to bring professionalism, ownership and a strong sense of quality into every interaction, whether I’m managing a project, supporting a colleague, or talking to a client. I make it a point to share knowledge and keep others informed and I’m always available when someone needs help or a second opinion. I want to create a culture where collaboration and accountability are the norm and where we learn and grow together. Not just individually, but as a community.
A final word
Excellence shows up in the small details: the extra clarity, the timely follow-up, the willingness to listen. Hana reminds us that true quality is built day by day, in how we support others and deliver with purpose.
