Numeri Lithuania is entering an exciting new chapter under fresh leadership. In this exclusive interview, we sat down with Juozas Venckus, the newly appointed CEO of Numeri UAB. Juozas shares his vision for the company, insights from his diverse professional background and the ways he hopes to inspire change and innovation within the team. Read on to learn more about his approach and what the future holds for the company.
What does “creating change” mean to you in the context of accounting, and how do you encourage your team to embrace that role?
Creating change in accounting means moving beyond the traditional way of working. We must become more proactive advisors for clients. At Numeri, I encourage my team to see themselves not only as accountants, but as problem-solvers who help the businesses of our clients to grow. We do this by using new technologies, like digitalization and automating routine tasks. Changes are never simple or easy, but when the team understands that they can make impact on clients’ success, they are motivated to accept those changes.
What’s your long-term vision for Numeri Lithuania?
My long-term vision is for Numeri Lithuania to become a trusted partner for businesses in Lithuania and even across the Baltics. I want Numeri to become known not just for accuracy and compliance, but for bringing real value: helping clients make decisions based on facts and data; expand internationally; stay fully compliant in a rapidly changing regulatory environment, which is the new norm today in Lithuania.
Numeri is described as a place where accountants go beyond crunching numbers. What are some initiatives or innovations that reflect this philosophy?
One of Numeri’s biggest initiatives is digital transformation. We invest heavily in tools like MS 365 Business Central and automation through Document Management Systems and other integration solutions. This frees accountants from repetitive tasks and allows them to focus on client relationships, analysis and strategy. We also run internal know-how sessions where colleagues from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia present different Pan-Baltic cases. This way, our accountants gain a broader view and become more like business advisors, not just bookkeepers.

Juozas Venckus
CEO of Numeri UAB
Your background spans airlines, retail and CFO roles. How have these experiences shaped your leadership style today?
Each step in my career gave me a different professional strength. From airlines, I learned discipline and efficiency, where every detail matters. From retail, I have gained understanding that having a customer-first mindset and being able to adapt to customers’ needs is very important. From my CFO role, I understood that leadership always impacts decisions of a company. These experiences taught me to not only lead my teams by my own example, but also to allow the teams to innovate and contribute. I would describe my style as a balance between structure and openness.
What’s one lesson from your early finance career that still guides your decisions today?
The lesson is simple: numbers tell a story, but only people bring meaning to them. In the early days of my career, I understood that financial data itself does not drive success. The right interpretation of any kind of data is the biggest value any finance professional or accountant should strive to achieve. This way of thinking still guides me today.
What’s your approach to personal growth as a leader? Are there any habits, routines, or mentors that have shaped your journey?
I believe personal growth comes from continuous learning and observing the professional environment. I spent my time reading about both business and leadership, and I always ask for honest feedback from my colleagues. One routine I value is dedicating time each day to plan the next day’s and next week’s tasks. I believe that having a plan is important. I have been fortunate to learn from my senior colleagues throughout my career who emphasized personal accountability, responsibility and the courage to make decisions, even if they are really tough. These few simple principles still shape my professional growth.
What kind of legacy do you hope to leave, not just at Numeri, but in the industry as a whole?
I hope my legacy will be showing that accounting can be flexible. At Numeri, I want to create a working culture where people feel empowered, clients feel that they are supported, and that technology is part of the Numeri DNA. For the industry, I see accounting switching from a back-office function to a real partner of business growth. I will consider it as my success, if I can contribute to these changes.
Well-prepared and thought-out financial transactions are the basis for each company’s success, and accounting is like the heart which supports a company’s life. Numeri, UAB provides a full range of accounting services in Lithuania, including payroll and tax accounting services.
